Wyoming becomes newest state for Fanatics Sportsbook

Fanatics Sportsbook is breaking new ground in Wyoming.

Adult residents of the Equality State can now download and access a variety of offerings on the Fanatics Sportbook app.

Wyoming joins Fanatics sportsbook

Wyoming becomes the 21st state for Fanatics Betting and Gaming, a subsidiary of Fanatics Holdings Inc. with operations throughout the United States.

Wyoming may be the most sparsely populated state in the U.S., but it has a thriving amateur and college sports scene. Before this new sportsbook, Wyoming only offered pari-mutuel betting on events like greyhound and horse racing.

The state’s fantasy league and league market is an untapped market for Fanatics.

As we’ve reported, Missouri has also faced difficulties in gaining support for sports betting rights in the state. The home of the current Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs does not currently allow any form of sports betting.

The state’s teams have lobbied hard to get gambling law reform and betting on the November state ballot. Those groups include the Chiefs, who could stand to receive a huge windfall if they get the support of their wealthy gambling partners.

The football team even claimed they could use their lucrative gambling sponsorship to build a brand new stadium.
