Spotify offers free audiobooks to premium users in Canada, Ireland and New Zealand

Spotify announced Tuesday that it will offer free audiobook services to Canada, Ireland and New Zealand. Users in these markets will be able to get 15 hours of free audiobook listening time per month. Spotify also announced it is expanding its audiobook catalog from 200,000 to 250,000 titles. The benefit is already available in the US, UK and Australia.

Two months ago, Spotify said its audiobook service was the second-largest audiobook provider after Amazon’s Audible. Spotify said users have listened to more than 150,000 songs since the free service launched in November.

Audiobooks can be found on the Spotify app’s home page or through the search tab. Any audiobook marked “Included with Premium” can be listened to with a Spotify Premium subscription. You can track your listening time in the Spotify app’s settings. If you run out of listening time, you can purchase an additional 10-hour allotment for CAD$14.99, EUR12.99 and NZ$19.99.

Spotify recently launched a $9.99 per month plan that allows its free users to access its audiobook collection in the United States. The plan includes 15 hours of listening time, allowing Spotify to compete with Audible by targeting users who are less interested in it. Music services.
