Sportradar expands partnership with Chinese Basketball League CBA

The China Men’s Professional Basketball League (CBA) announced the extension of its media partnership with Sportradar.

The continuation of this strategic partnership aims to strengthen the integrity of the CBA and bring more attention to the Chinese league. Sportradar is a leader in the broadcast industry with a significant presence in the international gaming and online casino markets.

Sportradar continues strategic ties with CBA

Sportradar’s technology partnership with the CBA will bring regular season and playoff coverage of more than 550 games as well as short video highlights.

CBA also relies on broadcast partnerships and an extensive network of media companies to enhance its global reach. This will bring in more international fans via streaming services and expand the league’s viewership.

The bond will also attract more customers to Sportradar to participate in casino games and the company’s 300 virtual sportsbooks around the world.

Ben Turner, Head of Sports Content and Partnerships Asia Pacific and Global Head of Basketball at Sportradar, commented on the partnership.

He said: “Sportradar is an unparalleled partner in driving the CBA League to unprecedented global visibility. Basketball is one of the few sports with global appeal, and Sportradar is committed to maximizing this potential for the CBA League and our customers. “

Sportradar has strong links with other popular leagues around the world. The media giant currently has agreements with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the National Basketball Association (NBA), the French Basketball League (LNB) and the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF).

Shirley Lv, head of negotiations at the CBA, said of the continued agreement: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with Sportradar and believe it will provide a wealth of opportunities for the CBA League given the company’s extensive experience and recent track record. possibilities and further visibility.”

The CBA has a lot of talent, but a lack of exposure with major broadcasters has hindered the league’s expansion in Western markets. Players like Trey Golden, Antonio Blakeney and Scotty James will take advantage of the increased playing time in the eyes of top coaches and fans.

Summing up the new partnership, Mr. Lu said: “Through this long-term partnership and creating opportunities on a global scale, we look forward to driving the continued growth of the CBA League and reaching new audiences around the world.”

The 29th CBA season is about to kick off, and the top 20 leagues will become an interesting highlight in a busy year for basketball.
