Palworld maker Pocketpair partners with Tencent Cloud so you don’t have to wait for multiplayer servers

Pocketpair, the creator of Palworld, has just partnered with Tencent, the world’s largest cloud technology gaming company.

I’m not sure what exactly this means, but maybe players won’t have to wait for game servers anymore. As long as they don’t add a billion customers. Palworld, known as “Pokemon with Guns,” went from zero to 25 million players in a month. The result is a traffic jam on the Internet, which I talked about in my DeanBeat column.

Tencent Cloud said that it has begun cooperation with game studio Pocketpair as an official partner to provide dedicated multiplayer game servers for the globally popular game Palworld.

This collaboration will leverage Tencent Cloud Lighthouse, an out-of-the-box cloud server service designed for lightweight scenarios, to enhance the gaming experience of global players. The service will be provided to global Palworld players through Metastation, Tencent Cloud’s partner in Singapore.
