The company recently acquired Bright Cellars, a Wisconsin-based subscription-based wine service provider, for an undisclosed price. The deal is Full Glass Wine’s third acquisition in a year and will allow the startup to expand its subscription-based model.

A tailor-made experience,” Kumar said. “Our goal is to use data and artificial intelligence to make personalized wine recommendations more accurate and insightful, ensuring every customer discovers and enjoys wines they truly love.”

Kumar said the DTC wine industry is full of potential, but one of the hurdles is navigating the complex web of regulations in different states.

“Ensuring a seamless customer experience from discovery to delivery requires constant innovation and focus,” Kumar continued. “However, consumers may also have some misconceptions about DTC wines. Concerns about quality are addressed through partnerships with reputable vineyards and a rigorous selection process. Value is a consideration, but we offer a range of price points to suit different needs budget. Perhaps the biggest challenge is the initial discovery process – finding the right wine can feel overwhelming. This is where personalization comes in – we use data and technology to help consumers discover what they really like wine.”

The startup, co-founded in 2023 by Louis Amoroso (CEO), a serial entrepreneur in the wine industry and former partner at Goose Island Beer Co., and Kumar (COO), a former managing director at New Money Ventures, is open to exploring collaborations Partnerships work with businesses to expand the reach and offerings of their platforms.

“It could involve partnering with breweries, food delivery services or event planners to create unique experiences for customers directly within the platform,” the company’s chief operating officer continued.

The company is still completing the integration process to ensure a smooth transition for everyone involved following the recent acquisition.
