FanDuel TV has launched FanDuel TV Extra, a new addition to its cable network.

The free streaming channel is the latest media brand from heavyweight betting operator FanDuel and is currently available on platforms such as Pluto TV and the Roku Channel, as well as FanDuel’s own OTT channel FanDuel TV+.

The new free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel will broadcast more live sports than any other FAST channel currently, making it the “premier destination for watching and betting on programming.”

FanDuel TV Extra’s content covers international basketball, Korean K-League football and PokerStars events. Spectators can even watch the award-winning horse racing and PDC darts live.

Several FanDuel TV shows will also be syndicated, including episodes of “Up & Adams” and “Run it Back.”

FanDuel believes new channels will unlock further growth

Following the launch of the parent channel in September 2022, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President Kevin Grigsby is convinced that the demand for the new channel is there, especially among gamblers who want to be able to follow the games they are betting on. He also hinted that the company aims to add the channel to more FAST providers in due course.

“The launch of FanDuel TV Extra is another important step in expanding FanDuel TV’s content distribution and reaching new audiences,” said Grigsby.

“Our research shows that a large portion of our target audience already consumes content on FAST. Broadcasting over 12 hours of live bettable sports every day, significantly differentiates our channel in the market and enables us to attract a new group of passionate sports fans and bettors. “

Last month, FanDuel expanded into Washington, D.C., activating its website and sports betting app after receiving authorization from the Washington State Office of Lottery and Gaming (OLG).

The US gambling giant was granted exclusivity following dissatisfaction with GambetDC’s performance in the city.
