Apparently, Megan Thee Stallion’s favorite app is Pinterest

It’s official—hot girls are using Pinterest.

Megan Thee Stallion participated in a panel discussion during Social Media Week and revealed that the image management site is actually one of her favorite apps. She said she decided to delete Twitter (now called X) and Instagram from her phone, leaving Pinterest and TikTok as her two favorite social apps.

This news comes as no surprise when you consider that Pinterest is booming. According to its latest quarterly earnings report, as of the fourth quarter of 2023, the social app had nearly 500 million monthly active users, a year-on-year increase of 11%, and total revenue reached $3 billion. Pinterest is also working to stay relevant with Gen Z — it has a Creator Inclusion Fund and has implemented new technology to help with inclusive search on the site. The company told us that as of last summer, about 40% of Pinterest’s global monthly active users were Gen Z.

During the panel, Megan Thee Stallion said she loves the app because it allows her to curate exactly what she wants to see, with lists ranging from puppies to makeup and workout videos Theme of. That brings out your best instincts rather than exploiting your worst instincts,” said Malik Ducard, Pinterest’s chief content officer tell us. “Pinterest is designed to be a positive place where people can step away from the daily stress of news, online comparisons and comments and get to know who they really are.”

Pinterest tells us that the number of Gen Zers using the site to search for celebrities is up 40% year over year, proving that young people are using alternatives to the Google platform to find the content they want. Gen Z is also more likely to use TikTok for search queries rather than traditional search engines.

Megan Thee Stallion has a vested interest in Pinterest and has worked with the company before. She participated in the 2021 Pinterest Creator Festival and set up a Pinterest board with singer Renee Rapp to promote their latest song, and unsurprisingly, the song’s title appeared on Pinterest.
